Central America Travel Tips -

From Jungles to Canals, more than meets the eye.

Central America Travel tips are often overlooked for their more glamorous neighbors - the carribean and South America. Yet, Central America is home to a whopping 7% of the world's biodiversity, making it a region that's essential to humans all over the entire globe - not just those that live here.

This region is comprised of the southernmost portion of the contiguent North American continent. Separated by water from the Carribean, by the Mexican deserts from the United States and by the Panama Canal to the south, the region has much diversity to intrigue and inspire the traveler. You can bask in the sun by the sea in Belize, climb the canopy in Costa Rica or take a stately cruise through the canal in Panama.

Central America Travel Tips by Country

Each country in this region is very unique, with it's own culture, history and sights. Many of the countries are separated by natrual barriers, such as mountain ranges or jungles, that have allowed them to develop in relative isolation from one another. Therefore, I try to identify a country to correspond to every travel tip each time someone submits one - allowing you to find the tips that best suit your travel destination.

Susan's Note: Listing or not listing of particular states here is dependent on the time I have for development, the travel tips that have been submitted and the demand of my visitors and is not intended as a political statement in any way. I'm also currently working on a visual click-map for all my main pages, which should be up by the end of summer.

As one is identified with a country, I'll move it to match. In the meantime, here's some of our best tips from other travelers. Check them out or add your own today!
