Africa travel tips and the books written full of them have long been the inspiring forces behind travelers of all walks of life. From adventurers and explorers who head into the wildest regions of the continent to modern day travelers who enjoy luxury safaris in air conditioning.

No matter what your travel style is, this continent provides intriguing and inspiring destinations. 

Africa is the world's second largest continent and is widely though by the scientific community to be the origin of humankind. Today you can experience Africa's stark Sahara desert, which is much as it has always been, or the very modern nightclubs of Johannesburg. You can climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro or battle the jungle of the Congo. You can relax on a Nile cruise or race on an ostrich.

Africa Travel Tips by Country

Although the continent of Africa is frequently thought by Westerners as a unified whole, it is actually home to 54 unique countries. Our listing of Africa travel tips by individual countries reflects this reality. Each country has its own cultures, languages, histories, politics and great tourist spots. Likewise, each has unique travel tips and recommendations to go with it.

While there are popular ones (Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, Madagascar, Democratic Republic of the Congo to name a few) if you are seeking a truly unique travel experience choosing a less popular destination can yield unique and startling adventures all its own.
